Dr. Anthony Tang

Dr. Anthony Tang - Lambton Orthodontic CentreDr. Tang attended the University of Toronto where he received his HBSc degree in Pharmacology and graduated with Distinction. He completed his Dental degree at the University of Western Ontario where he was selected to the Dean’s Honour List, and received the Dental Student Award in Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry.
 
Dr. Tang furthered his training by completing a General Dentistry Residency and Fellowship at the University of Connecticut Health Center. He also taught students and residents at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. In addition, he worked as a dentist at the New Haven Community Health Center and the West Haven Veterans Affair Center treating patients with limited access to dental care. Subsequently, he furthered his skills by working in a high-volume, state-of the art, cosmetic dentistry practice in Connecticut.

Following this, Dr. Tang decided to focus solely on the Specialty of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He completed a three-year orthodontic residency at the University of Connecticut where he obtained his Specialist Degree in Orthodontics and Masters Degree in Dental Sciences.   

Dr. Tang is recognized as a Specialist in Orthodontics in both Canada and the United States. There are very few Specialists in Orthodontics who are recognized in both countries.  In addition, the Royal College of Dentists of Canada has awarded Dr. Tang the title of “Fellow" in the Specialty of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. This is a title given only to a limited number of orthodontists in Canada. Dr. Tang is also proficient with the latest orthodontic techniques including: “invisible” braces such as Invisalign® and Lingual Orthodontics.

Dr. Tang remains dedicated to continuing education, and maintains numerous professional affiliations. He is an active member of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, Ontario Dental Association, Ontario Association of Orthodontists, Great Lakes Society of Orthodontists, and the Lambton County Dental Society.

While not at the office, you may find Dr. Tang enjoying the great outdoors golfing, jogging, cycling or skiing. However, his greatest passion remains his family. He resides in Sarnia with his wife Tram, a local pharmacist, and his daughter Kayley, who is attending pre-school.
